A Turkish court on Friday lifted the house arrest of US pastor Andrew Brunson.
The pastor was arrested in Turkey on suspicion of collaboration with the Gulen movement (FETO). The Turkish justice accuses him of being involved in the failed coup d'état of July 15, 2016. In 2017, during a meeting with the Turkish President, Donald Trump had asked him to release the American pastor. Mr. Erdogan, meanwhile, proposed to exchange the ex-Imam Fethullah Gulen, who lives in exile in the United States, against Andrew Brunson.
